Zao Old Road Miyama Pilgrimage 2025 2025/09/21

I participated as a support staff member in the 12th Zao Kodo Onyama Pilgrimage.

From Zao Kattamine Shrine Satomiya, you will climb approximately 1,450m along an ancient trail to the summit of Mt. Katta.

The weather was cloudy on the day, but the clouds were covering the summit and the temperature was below 10°C. Although we couldn't see Okama, it was good that everyone who participated was able to reach the top safely without any serious injuries.

Although I was in a position to provide support, I was a little worried about whether I would be able to make it to the end, but strangely enough, I had no fatigue or pain in my hips or knees, and was full of energy the next day and the day after. One day later, I completed the 22km round trip traverse of Minami Zao.
